Starting a new chapter in my life

So far I have nothing really to post. It has been almost a year since the ex and I have split and over a year since I told him I wanted a divorce. He was very slow to move out. Not sure why but my guess is because he realized that he could stick it to me that way and make me feel uncomfortable in my own house. 

Before I can even enter the dating scene I had to line up a babysitter. Unless it is very serious and I don't plan on being anytime soon, I will not be introducing my son to anyone. 

I jumped into my relationship with my ex and I don't plan on making that same mistake again. 

I did join the site meetup they seem to have some good groups on there. I think in the beginning I would rather meet people in a group setting rather than off of a dating site. 

Dipping my toes first. 

I did send the following message to my friends though:

Okay girls I have a challenge for you. I would like to go out on a real date by my birthday in August So operation find Lexie a date starts tomorrow. The only rules are:  they must like kids (My son will not know what is going on) they must have a good job and they must be a nice guy. No one who is married I don't care if they are separated or divorced. Prize to be announced! 😄😄😄 

Age is 39-50. Nothing older or younger. 

So do you accept this challenge??

I would like to go out on my first date by my birthday. It is in August so that shouldn't be too hard. 

Wish me luck I am sure it will be a bumpy ride with lots of learning curves. But that is what I am looking forward to. Learning about myself and learning to live for myself again.
